A Willmar man was arrested Tuesday after leading law enforcement on a high speed chase through Willmar.

According to the Kandiyohi County  Sheriff’s Office, on March 19, at about 11 a.m., a deputy was on routine patrol on Highway 12. Near 6th Street SW, deputies noted a vehicle driving aggressively along with multiple equipment violations.

The deputies activated their emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop, and the vehicle pulled through a parking lot and accelerated away onto Highway 12. Deputies followed for about five blocks before losing sight of the vehicle. Later, a witness called 911 to report a vehicle matching the suspect’s was weaving in and out of traffic at high speed, and had nearly rolled.

Several moments later, agents with the CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force located the driver, Kee Ku, age 29, of Willmar, at his residence. He was taken into custody for fleeing police in a motor vehicle, among other violations.
