One injured in Redwood County car/tractor collision Thursday

One man was injured when his car struck a tractor in Redwood County Thursday evening

According to the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office, on April 25, at about 10:49 p.m., the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of County Roads 24 and 1. Officers arrived to find a 2014 Grey Nissan had rear-ended a tractor on County Road 24 while both vehicles were traveling westbound.

The driver of the Nissan, Toek Sokhom, age 72, was transported by ambulance for possible injures. The driver of the tractor, John Dean Swigart, age 33,  reported no injuries. The case is still under investigation, but charges are pending.

The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Lower Sioux Police Department and Minnesota State Patrol.
