Walnut Grove man sentenced for felony-level threats of violence

A Walnut Grove man, Feng Vue, age 30, was sentenced in Redwood County Court for making felony-level threats of violence during a domestic dispute last September.

According to court documents, on Sept. 4 Redwood County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a domestic assault in Walnut Grove. The victim, a male relative of Vue’s, stated he had locked himself out of the residence that morning. When he asked Vue to let him in, Vue did, then returned with a knife, leading to a physical confrontation.

Vue had a prior conviction of second degree assault.

On Dec. 11, Vue was sentenced to 12 months, one day in the correctional facility in St. Cloud, stayed for five years, five years supervised probation, and fines and fees of $335.
