A Tracy boy was injured in a two-car collision in Lyon County on Wednesday morning.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on Oct. 11 Matthew Alan Sandman, age 36, of Tracy, was driving a 2012 Buick Enclave northbound on Highway 59, while Michael Lee Johnson, age 36, of Appleton, was driving a 2011 Peterbilt semi-truck southbound. At about 11:43 a.m., the vehicles collided in the intersection of Highway 59 and Windstar Street.

Both drivers escaped injury, but a passenger in Sandman’s car, Asher Thomas Sandman, age 2, of Tracy, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital in Marshall.

Assisting on the scene were the Marshall Police Department, Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, and Marshall Fire Department and Ambulance.
