Three people were injured in a collision in rural Kandiyohi County Tuesday afternoon.

On July 25, at about 5:16 p.m., the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office learned of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of County Roads 5 and 40, about seven miles west of New London.

Emergency crews learned a Subaru Outback driven by Phillip Hatlestad, age 65, of New London, had been eastbound on County Road 40, and collided with a northbound Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Kenneth Recinos, age 20, from Willmar.

Hatlestad and Recinos were both treated on the scene by EMTs, as was Hatlestad’s passenger, a 64 year old female from New London.

The Sunburg Ambulance assisted the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office on the scene.
