Sex offender relocates to Willmar

The Willmar Police Department has released information about a convicted sex offender who has relocated to the community.

Daniel Martinez, age 44, was convicted in Martin County on charges accusing him of sexual contact with a woman and child he knew on separate occasions. Martinez has served his sentenced and was released from jail in January.

In June he moved into the area of 24th Street Northwest in Willmar. Police are allowed by law to release information the relocation of sex offenders so neighbors can be aware, and because of the likelihood they may re-offend.
