A Redwood Falls man, Victor Lee Ogden, age 50, has been sentenced in Redwood County Court for felony-level drug possession after threatening law enforcement officers and resisting arrest.

According to court documents, on July 13 of last year, Redwood Falls police officers responded to a report of a man causing a disturbance at the intersection of Swain and Bridge Streets. Officers arrived to find Ogden in the road, yelling at a car stopped at the stoplight.

When officers approached Ogden, he allegedly kept moving close to them. When officers told him to back away or be tased, he repeatedly threatened to hit them. After additional officers arrived, Ogden was eventually placed on the ground and arrested. Officers found a plastic container in Ogden’s pocket that contained slightly over a gram of methamphetamine.

On Oct. 2, Ogden was sentenced to 15 days local confinement, two years supervised probation, and fines and fees of $200.
