Mankato man killed by assailant early Saturday morning

Police are searching for a killer in Mankato after a man was fatally shot early Saturday morning.

Police were called to the 300 block of Balcerzak Drive at 12:18 a.m. after receiving multiple reports of shots fired. They arrived to find the victim, Buay Duer Juk, age 27, in the street with gunshot wounds. Lifesaving measures were carried out at the scene. At a local hospital, where Juk was pronounced dead.

A witness reported a male fleeing the area after the shooting. He’s described as 6’2″ tall, thin build, approximately 160 lbs., and wearing dark clothing with the hood up.
