Man Killed In Crash South Of Sanborn Thursday morning

A man was killed in a crash south of Sanborn Thursday just before noon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Ryan Klenken, age 37, of Reading, was northbound on Highway 71. Near the intersection of County Road 41, Klenken rear-ended a dump truck being driven by Greg Boettger, age 56, of Springfield. Boettger’s dump truck then rear-ended a pick being driven by Jeffrey Shaver, age 64, of Sanborn.

Klenken was declared dead; Boettger and Shaner both suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to Windom Hospital for treatment.

Assisting on the scene were the Cottonwood Co., Sanborn Fire/EMS, Jeffers Fire/EMS, Westbrook Police Department, and  Windom Police Department.
