A Litchfield woman, Kimberly Ann Rodriguez, age 34, was sentenced in Redwood County Court for taking illegal drugs into the Redwood County jail after she was transported.

According to court documents, on April 6 , 2023, a Redwood County deputy was asked by the dispatcher to verify some tablets found in Rodriguez’s purse. The tablets were found after she was transported from the McLeod County jail on an unrelated warrant. The deputy verified the tablets were Clonazeam, a Schedule IV controlled substance.

Rodriguez had previously been convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia in 2022.

On March 25, Rodriguez was sentenced for felony fifth degree drug possession to 30 days local confinement, three years probation, and fines and fees of $300.
