Jackson man sentenced in Redwood County Court for armed stalking

A Jackson man, Preston Scott Reinke, age 21, has been sentenced in Redwood County Court for felony-level stalking.

According to court documents, on April 27, 2023, a Redwood County Sheriff’s Office investigator spoke with a victim who stated he had been threatened by Reinke with a gun at a party on June 5, 2021. The investigator spoke with a witness who stated he had seen Reinke show off the gun half-hidden in his waistband at that party.

The victim also stated Reinke had threatened him on three other occasions, at one point pointing a handgun directly at the victim’s chest from several inches away.

On April 8, Reinke was sentenced to 28 months in the correctional facility in St. Cloud, stayed for three years, local confinement for 26 days, three years supervised probation, and fines and fees of $335.
