Highway 71 near Sanborn closed for railroad bridge work starting Dec. 11

The Minnesota Department of Transportation advises motorists that Highway 71 near Sanborn will be closed Dec. 11-14, weather permitting, as the Canadian Pacific Railroad makes repairs to the railroad bridge.

The railroad bridge was hit and damaged by a piece of farm equipment earlier this year. Highway 71 will be closed as crews set a new span across the bridge.

Motorists will be detoured to Highway 14, Brown County Roads 2 and 21, and Redwood County Road 11.
