Coon Rapids man sentenced for fentanyl possession during arrest
A Coon Rapids man, Tanner Nicholas Delaney, age 24, was sentenced in Redwood County Court for felony-level drug possession over an incident last February.
According to court documents, on Feb. 4, the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office was called to an area business on a report Delaney was there. Delaney had current warrants out for his arrest. Delaney was found in the parking lot and taken into custody. During a search, he was found with fentanyl on his person, and he admitted smoking it two hours earlier.
On April 8, Delaney was sentenced to 90 days local confinement, three years supervised probation, and fines and fees of $400.
