Carris Health – Redwood is excited to announce the opening date for the new state-of-the-art medical campus on February 20, 2021. The transition will take place with the turn of the clock with the new emergency department accepting patients at 12:01 a.m.

The hospital and clinic have a team of leaders working together to plan the move to the new facility along with the experience of CentraCare, who has built two new hospitals in recent years. Staff will be working with a simulation team from CentraCare to train on new equipment and new processes in the building to be ready for the opening.

“A move of this nature requires coordination of not only stuff and systems, but also people,” said Carnie Allex, Carris Health – Redwood Administrator. “Ensuring the health and safety of our patients is our top priority. We are thankful to have an experienced team to help make this move as seamless as possible for our patients and community.”

Construction began on the new facility in May of 2019. The health campus will feature hospital and clinic in one building, in-house MRI, aquatic therapy pool, enhanced privacy as well as a larger surgery department with private prep and recovery space.

“We are counting down the days to having keys in hand and starting the months-long process of preparing the building so we will be ready to serve our patients on day one,” said Allex.
