Benson residents die, Waseca man injured in Kandiyohi County collision Tuesday
Two Benson residents died, and a Waseca man was injured in a Kandiyohi County collision Tuesday evening.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on April 23 Douglas Claire Robinson, 45, of Waseca was eastbound in a Jeep Wrangler on Highway 12 near Pennock, west of Willmar. At about 7 p.m., the SUV collided with a westbound Ford Explorer, driven by 69-year-old Joyce Larayne Nokleby. Nokleby and her passenger, Llewellyn Reynold Nokleby, 83, both from Benson, were fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Robinson was transported to a St. Cloud hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Assisting on the scene were the Willmar Police Department, Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office and Rescue, Kerkoven Fire Department, and CentraCare Ambulance.
