Arizona residents injured when vehicle slides off road in Lyon County Monday

Several Arizona residents were injured when their vehicle slid off icy roads in Lyon County Monday evening.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at about 10:54 p.m. on Jan. 25, a 2010 Toyota Corolla was being driven northbound on Highway 23 by Karen Eloyce Welch, age 23, of Sierra Vista, Arizona. Welch lost control on the slippery road, entered the ditch, and rolled her vehicle.

Welch was transported to the health care facility in Tyler with non-life threatening injuries, as was Lian Grayson Dano, age two, of Sierra Vista, Arizona.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
