Willmar woman seriously injured in snowmobile accident Sunday afternoon

A Willmar woman was seriously injured in a snowmobile accident Sunday.

According to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, on March 6, at about 5:09 pm, the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office responded to a snowmobile crash on the Glacial Lakes Trail between 30th Ave. NE and 45th Ave. NE.

A 2003 Artic Cat ZR900, driven by Mickala Elliot, age 35, of Willmar was westbound when the snowmobile left the trail and struck a tree. Elliot was airlifted to St. Cloud hospital with serious injuries.

The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Kandiyohi Fire Department, Kandiyohi 1st responders, Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad, Centracare Ambulance, Lifelink and the Willmar Fire Department
