Three Sleepy Eye residents were injured when their vehicles collided in Brown County Sunday evening.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on Dec. 24, Karen Marie Schewe, age 50, was drivng a Dodge Avenger south on Highway 4, while Bernard Wilbert Sprenger, age 72, was driving a Ford Fusion northward. The vehicles collided at the intersection with Brown County Road 24.

Sprenger and Schewe were both transported to the hospital in Sleepy Eye with non-life threatening injuries, as was Schewe’s passenger, Caleb Dean Bedner, age 30.

Assisting on the scene were Allina Ambulance, Brown County Sheriff’s Office, and the Sleepy Eye Police, Fire, and Ambulance departments.
