Renville, Sacred Heart residents injured in Clara City accident Monday

Residents of Renville and Sacred Heart were injured Monday afternoon in a collision near Clara City.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at about 3 p.m. on July 5, a Dodge Ram, driven by Joseph John Nelson, age 50, of Hutchinson, was eastbound on Highway 7. It collided with a southbound Ford F-150 driven by Ana Isabel Cisneros Dela Torre, age 38, of Sacred Heart. After the collision, Nelson’s pickup collided with a Nissan Rogue driven by Elliot Philip Olsen, age 29, of St. Cloud.

Dela Torre and her passenger, Alejandro Joel Delatorre, age 23, of Renville, were transported to the hospital in Montevideo with non-life threatening injuries.

Assisting on the scene were the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, Clara City Police Department and Ambulance, and the Montevideo Ambulance.
