A Franklin man, Jesse Lamont Jackson, has been found guilty of threats of violence and disorderly conduct against a former employer.

According to the Redwood County Attorney’s Office, on Dec. 7, 2022 law enforcement received a 911 call reporting Jackson had threatened to kill and beat up two people at an area business. Court documents state Jackson had been fired from that business for being unreliable. Jackson had an outstanding bill with that business, and the amount had been taken from his final paycheck.

Jackson later went to the business and yelled at the victims, making violent threats about them and their families. Surveillance video showed Jackson following one of the victims around the business while yelling.

The jury deliberated for about two and a half hours on April 18 before delivering the guilty verdicts. Jackson will be sentenced on June 17, at the Redwood County Courthouse.
