Methamphetamine also known as crystal meth

A Redwood Falls man, Javier Diaz Garza, age 56, was sentenced in Redwood County Court for after being caught selling drugs to a drug task force undercover source.

According to court documents, on Sept. 15, 2021, the Brown Lyon Redwood Renville Drug Task Force met with an informant who claimed he could buy an ounce of methamphetamine from Garza for $750. The informant was outfitted with electronic recording and transmitting devices, then met with Garza at a Redwood Falls building.

Task force agents recorded the informant ang Garza measuring out the meth, and exchanging payment. The informant stated he saw additional meth in an approximately half-gallon bag.

On March 18, Garza was sentenced for felony drug sales to 95 months in the correctional facility in St. Cloud.
