Redwood County invites the public to attend an open house of the newly constructed Justice Center and remodeled Government Services buildings on Tuesday, August 22, from 4 to 6 p.m.

The open houses will let the public tour the newly constructed 27,000 square foot Redwood County Justice Center.  The design of the facility includes several security measures such as centralized screening checkpoint when entering the building, separate entrances and exit points for Court Administration and County Attorney personnel, secure holding areas for detainees and an underground tunnel to provide safe transfers between the jail and the Justice Center.

To support these enhancements, those attending the open house will be screened upon arrival.  Cell phones, smart watches, tablets, computers, electronics, weapons, pocket knives, tobacco products, lighters, vapes, cuff keys and all food and drinks are strictly prohibited.  If any restricted items are brought to the building a locker will be available to hold the items.  The Justice Center is located at 250 South Jefferson Street in Redwood Falls.

The public is also invited to tour the remodeled Government Services building next to the Justice Center on the same day.  This building was remodeled to provide space for Information Technology and Maintenance personnel, the Redwood County Restorative Justice program, A.C.E. of Southwest Minnesota and Child’s Place Children’s Advocacy Center.  The Government Services building is located at 302 East Third Street, Redwood Falls.
