Two area school districts have announced they’ll be making changes in staffing for their principals.

Last week the BOLD School Board accepted the resignation of K-12 Principal Brett Benson. Benson has been BOLD principal since 2019, and was recognized for his leadership efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic. He is leaving to take another job at a different district. It was announced that the district will be replacing him with a new principal for k-6 students and another for grades 7-12.

In Montevideo, High School Principal Chris Weber is leaving at the end of this school year, and the school board has offered the position to Tanya Maethner starting with next school year. Maethner is currently Community Ed Director/Curriculum Specialist at Battle Lake Public School.
