Wabasso residents injured in Redwood County collision Monday morning

Two Wabasso residents were injured in a two-car collision in Redwood County Monday morning.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Diane Lois Arends, age 61, of Wabasso, was driving a 2001 Cadillac Escalade eastbound on Highway 68. She was followed by Alonna Rose Baune, age 31, driving a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox. The vehicles collided near mile post 72.

Arends reported no injuries, but Baune was transported to CentraCare – Redwood with non-life threatening injuries, as was her passenger Zahrinty Rose Burke, age three.

Assisting on the scene were the Wabasso Fire Department and Ambulance, and CentraCare Ambulance.
