Willmar, Fairfax motorcyclists injured in Freeborn County collision Thursday

Motorcyclists from Willmar and Fairfax were injured when their cycles collided in Freeborn County Thursday.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at about 2:26 p.m. on May 16, Leo Joseph Schweiss, age 69, of Fairfax was riding a 2007 Harley Davidson touring cycle northbound on Highway 65. He was accompanied by Ryan John Tillemans, age 48, of Willmar, riding a 2019 Harley Davidson touring cycle. The vehicles collided near milepost 303, near the town of Glenville.

Both riders were taken to May Clinic Health System with non-life threatening injuries.

Assisting on the scene were the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, Glenville Fire Department, and Mayo Ambulance.
