The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in finding a hit-and-run driver who crashed into a vehicle Tuesday afternoon.

Deputies believe a person driving what is believed to be a Semi-Tractor/Trailer backed into a parked motor vehicle at 715 S. Elm St. on Tuesday. The trailer left a mud flap at the scene of the crash, and the driver left without leaving information.

Anyone who might have information on the crash is asked to contact the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office at 507-637-4036, and you may remain anonymous.

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this article stated the accident occurred in Redwood Falls. It actually happened in Vesta, per this note in the City of Vesta’s Facebook page Wednesday: “Yesterday Early afternoon a semi backed into a vehicle on the corner or Elm and Front Street, this semi would be missing a mud flap, If you know anything about this please contact the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office at 507-637-4036.”
