That was seven year old Kolie Ferrier, daughter of Aaron and Jackie Ferrier of Redwood Falls. Kolie headlines the news today because her image will appear in the bright lights of Broadway this coming Saturday, Sept, 18, as part of the annual National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) Times Square video presentation.

The one-hour video of roughly 500 photographs includes children, teens and adults with Down syndrome from all 50 states. Kolie’s photo will be shown on two JumboTron screens in the heart of Times Square. The presentation will be live-streamed on the NDSS Facebook page from 8:30-9:30am on September 18.

KLGR spoke with Jacke Ferrier about how Kolie came to be featured in the video:

Jackie explained how they chose the selected photo of Kolie:

Jackie also expressed appreciation for all the support Kolie has gotten from the community:

Again, the presentation will be live-streamed on the National Down Syndrome Society Facebook page from 8:30-9:30am on September 18. And you can see the photo on our web page, at myklgr.com
