Kimbrough sentenced in Kandiyohi County Court to 28+ years prison for rape of Spicer hotel clerk
A Brooklyn Center man, Ashir Hassan Kimbrough, age 33, was sentenced in Kandiyohi County Court to over 28 years in prison for the sexual assault of a hotel clerk in Spicer.
According to court records, on Feb. 26, 2022 Kimbrough checked in to The Hampton Inn in Spicer, then followed the desk clerk into a women’s restroom where he forced her to perform a sex act, then fired a gun to scare her before she escaped.
Judge Stephen Wentzell sentenced Kimbrough to 344 months in prison. Kimbrough must register as a sex offender, pay his victim restitution, and will be on 10 years probation after being released.
