While Inflow & Infiltration is still a major problem for the City of Redwood Falls sanitary sewer system, city staff believe the health of the community is the first priority. As a result, the city has temporarily suspended the requirement for inspections of private sanitary sewer services and sump pumps.
The city has awarded the inspection work to B&N Plumbing and Heating. B&N is using this time to train staff and acquire the necessary inspection equipment. City staff do not know when or if mandatory inspections will occur in 2020, but there may be an option for voluntary inspections.
