Willmar Police investigating second drive-by shooting since Saturday

There was another drive-by shooting in Wilmar on Tuesday near the site of one the previous Saturday.

According to the Willmar Police Department, at 2:36 a.m. on Nov. 21, law enforcement was dispatched to the 600 block of Lakeland Drive SE on the report of gunshots. Officers arrived to find that multiple shots had been fired, striking an occupied home in the area. There were no injuries.

Officers collected evidence and gathered statements regarding the incident. This home was located near the shooting scene on Saturday evening. The investigation is continuing into both incidents, in part to see if they are related to each other. Willmar Police were assisted by the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office.
