Montevideo man injured in Chippewa County car/semi-truck collision

A Montevideo man, Gerald Edward Mclemore, age 56, suffered non-life threatening injuries when his car collided with a semi-truck in Chippewa County Tuesday morning.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on May 14, Mclemore was driving a GMC Yukon westbound on Highway 7. At the same time, Harvey Charles Lindstrom, age 65, was driving a 2020 Peterbilt semi-truck westbound along the same road. At about 11:17 a.m., the vehicles collided at the intersection with Chippewa County Road 4.

Mclemore was transported to an area hospital, while Lindstrom reported no injuries.

Assisting on the scene were the Montevideo Police Department, Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, Maynard Fire Department, and Clara City Fire Department and Ambulance.
