Two Texas men were injured when their vehicles collided near Sleepy Eye Sunday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at about 3 p.m. on Nov. 14, Fidencio E. Perez-Acosta, age 51, of Mission, Texas, was driving a 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander westbound on Highway 14. At the intersection with 5th Ave. NE, Perez-Acosta collided with an eastbound 2014 Ford F150 being driven by Ramiro Rodriguez Cortez, age 68, of Alamo, Texas.

Both drivers were transported to the Sleepy Eye Medical Center with believed non-life threatening injuries.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office, and the Sleepy Eye Police, Fire, and Ambulance departments all assisted at the scene.
