Two die in Kandiyohi County car/semi crash Wednesday

Two people died when a car and a semi-truck collided in Kandiyohi County Wednesday.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on Dec. 27, Bruce John Feldman, age 67, of Renville, was driving a 2023 Freightliner semi northbound on Highway 71, while Myron Eugene Elsberry, age 80, of Cambridge, was driving a 2016 Ford Escape eastbound on Highway 9. At about 11:08 a.m., the vehicles collided in the intersection of those roads.

Feldman reported minor injuries, while Elsberry and his passenger, Geneva Joann Holland, age 76, of Cambridge, were declared deceased at the scene.

Assisting on the scene were the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, New London Fire Department and Ambulance, and the Lakes Area Responders.
