Pequot Lakes woman dies in Renville County crash Sunday afternoon

A Pequot Lakes woman, Mary Elizabeth Christensen, age 58, died in a Renville County crash Sunday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on Dec. 24, Christensen was driving a 2017 Honda CR-V north on Highway 71. At about 2:54, near the intersection with 870th Avenue, the vehicle left the road and came to a stop in the ditch. Christensen was transported to the hospital in St. Cloud, but died of her injuries.

Assisting on the scene were the Olivia Fire, Police, and Ambulance Departments, the Renville Police, and the Renville County Sheriff’s Office.
