Where do Minnesota legislators eat lunch? When the House of Representatives and Senate are in session, where do the legislators live? Do they take their spouses with them? What do they do in the evenings for relaxation?

The Minnesota legislature opened its 2020 session this week, and KLGR’s Joshua Dixon chatted with State Senator Gary Dahms of Redwood Falls on Wednesday about what a typical day in the life of a legislator is like. Things are going easy right now; Dahms said he’s only been putting in 13 hour days this past week. The 19 and 20 hour days won’t be happening until probably April.
