Flood warning continues for Redwood River near Morton, Montevideo

The National Weather Service on Monday continued the flood warning for the Redwood River near Morton. The warning continues until further notice.

At 7:30 Sunday evening, the flood state was at 22.3 feet, when it is normally 21 feet. The Redwood River is expected to remain near 22.3 feet, but at 23 feet flood waters might reach Riverside Road and Front Street in North Redwood.

The National Weather Service has also continued the flood warning for the Minnesota River at Montevideo. Area river levels are expected to generally decrease at this point. However, multiple chances of precipitation are forecast for southwestern Minnesota, which would slow the decrease.
