Robert “Chisey” Sellner age 75, of Sleepy Eye, MN died on December 11, 2020, at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.

Private Service will be held at the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye on Friday, December 18, 2020.

The clergy will be Father Mark Steffl.

Interment will be at Home Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.

Military Rites provided by the Sleepy Eye Honor Guard.

Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye, MN.

Robert “Chisey” Sellner was born on October 24, 1945 in Marshall, MN to Ludewig & Cecelia (Vait) Sellner. He attended school at St. Mary’s and served in the U.S. Army from January of 1963 until January of 1966. He married Diana Wensauer on September 23, 1967 at St. Mary’s Church in Sleepy Eye. Chisey worked at Eichten Shoe Store for 18 years, USA Trailer Sales, Bic and 3M retiring in 2010. Chisey was a proud member of the 4-Wheel drive club called Mud Sweat and Gears. He loved spending weekends 4 wheeling with his family, deer hunting, camping, canoe trips and entering fishing tournaments in Minnesota and South Dakota. Chisey especially loved spending time on his land and often brought home driftwood & logs to make projects for the house. Chisey was a great handyman who could fix anything and he also enjoyed working in his garage, going to the races every Sunday in Redwood and going to the Vikings Training Camp every year. Chisey was a very proud Grandpa to all of his grandkids.

Chisey is survived by wife, Diana of Sleepy Eye, children, Troy (Jessica) Sellner of Clear Lake and Kari (Steve) Oman of Albert Lea, grandchildren, Demi, Zack, Jaxon, Ajay, Cassie, great grandson, Grayson, half-sister, Karen and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Melvin & Leon, father and mother-in-law, Frank & Lillian Wensauer and sister-in-law, Mary Wensauer.
