Maggie was born on February 24, 1935, at home in Clements, MN to George & Rose (Bruckbauer) Neudecker. She received her primary and high school education at St. Ann’s Catholic School in Wabasso, MN. After graduating high school in 1953 she worked for 2 years at the Loretto Hospital in New Ulm, MN. On April 23, 1956, Maggie married her soul mate William ‘Bill’ Wintheiser in Clements, MN, and had four children together.

Maggie’s love for children is very well known. She babysat in her home for over 22 years and for countless children. She worked for both the Clow and O’Hare Funeral Homes answering the phone. She later worked at the Orchard Inn with the ‘morning crew’ for 9 years before joining AUI in the housekeeping department. There she put her extraordinary cleaning skills to use for the next 9 years before retiring.

Maggie enjoyed doing ‘fancy’ work, canning, being a good homemaker, a great mom, and wonderful grandmother. She was a devout Catholic who sang with the Caecilian Choir for several years and was also a member of the St. Mary’s Guild.

Maggie will be remembered for her huge heart, her ability to listen and not judge, and her knack for getting stains out of anything. Her ‘Maggie-isms’ will live on forever in our family, they include; ‘barnstorming’, chewing gum to ‘grind her nerves’, getting things done by ‘going through the back door’, making sure we were on time by ‘clocking it’, ‘well that’s a real plus’ and last but never least her exacting directions to what she needed… ‘it’s next to the potato chip box in the back room.’.

Maggie is survived by 3 of her children: Rick (Mafalda) Wintheiser of Vernon Hills, IL, Randy (ReNae) Wintheiser of Savage, MN, Brenda (Rick) Schumann of Mansfield, TX, son-in-law Phillip (Carin) Eastman. She also leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill, daughter Amy Eastman, brothers Matthais Neudecker, Joseph Neudecker, Richard Neudecker, Vincent Neudecker, and sisters Delores Green, and Grace Plaetz.
