On Wednesday, March 31, 2021, Kristi Norma Lecy, loving mother of three children, passed away at the age of 62 unexpectedly at her home in Florida. Kristi was born on January 6, 1959, to Gayle and Norma (Pederson) Lecy in Granite Falls, MN.

Kristi grew up on a farm near Echo, MN, where she was baptized and confirmed at Rock Dell Lutheran Church. She went on to graduate from Echo High School before moving closer to the Twin Cities to begin her professional career. She studied for one semester at Bethany Lutheran College before eventually transferring to the University of Minnesota to complete her Bachelor’s degree. She continued her education at Bethel University where she received her Master’s degree. Kristi’s career included positions within the Granite Falls Bank, Echo-Wood Lake Public School, Southwest West Central Service Cooperative-Marshall, and the University of Minnesota where she was a proud employee for 34 years, with her final position being an Administrative Director, before retiring on January 15, 2021. She most recently resided in Apple Valley, Minnesota.

Recently retired, Kristi began picking up old hobbies and learning new ones as she welcomed this new chapter into her life. This includes acrylic painting, becoming an active member at her local gym, planning more time at Lake Amelia and beginning the move down to her home in Florida where she could escape Minnesota winters. She was known for her affectionate personality, joyful laugh, and caring soul.

Kristi was blessed with three children, Chantelle, Cory, and Adam, coming from her two marriages, the first with Brad Kurtz and the second with David Iskierka. She loved being a mom to her “little ducklings” and being there to support them as they grew older.
