Jeanette Stage

The funeral service for Jeanette Stage, 84, of Vesta, will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2024, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vesta.  The Visitation will be Thursday, April 25,2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, April 26 from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. at the church.  Interment will follow the service at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Seaforth.

Jeanette Dorothy (Kletscher) Stage was born on March 5, 1940, in Vesta, MN, to Henry and Ida (Arndt) Kletscher.  She was baptized on March 5, 1940, and confirmed on June 14, 1954, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vesta.  Jeanette graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1958.  On October 25, 1958, she was united in marriage to Milan R. Stage at St. John’s Lutheran church.  Jeanette worked alongside her husband on a dairy farm in Granite Rock Township and raised their four children.  They retired to Vesta in 2005. 

Jeanette was passionate about her faith, family and especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren.  Jeanette also enjoyed feeding and watching birds, tending to her flower garden and mowing her lawn.  She was an excellent cook and baker.  Grandma always had her kids and grandkids favorite treats when they came to visit.

Jeanette died on Friday, April 19, 2024, at CentraCare Hospital Redwood Falls, MN.  She is survived by her husband, Milan, of Vesta, children Vicki (David) Beadell of Grand Rapids, Sandy (Bill) MacHolda of Redwood Falls, Lori (David) Clark of Blaine and Gregory (Laura) Stage of Vesta.

Grandchildren Nick (Michelle) Beadell, Jessica (Joe) Nelson, Alyssa (Dustin) Baker, Andrew (Aubrey) Beadell, Kari (Nick) Pinsonneault, Adam (Michelle) MacHolda, Abby (Dan) Haubrich, Emily Clark, Alison (Kellen) Anderson, Dorothy Clark, John Clark, Dalton Stage, Dallas (Emily) Stage,  Della (Cody) Stokesbary,  Denver Stage (fiancée Megan Schmitt) and 19 great-grandchildren.

Siblings and their spouses: Ardyce Rudenick of Wabasso, Janice Stage of Redwood Falls, Merlin (Iylene) Kletscher of Belview, sister-in-law Marilyn Kletscher of Vesta.   Many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws Edwin and Alma (Lee) Stage; siblings and spouses Edna Kletscher (child), Elaine (Glen) Borning, Elvira (Harvey) Meier, Myron Kletscher, Luverne Kletscher (infant), Elvern (Arlene) Kletscher, Harold Kletscher, Clarence (Margaret) Kletscher, Darold Rudenick and Wallace Stage.
