Jeanette Goelz
Jeanette Goelz, age 89 of Redwood Falls, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024 at CentraCare Redwood Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Redwood Falls, and a livestream of the service will be available through the church’s website (www.lowafc.org). Jeanette Agatha Goelz was born November 1, 1934 to John Sr. and Marie (Kahnke) Goelz in Delhi Township, Redwood County, Minnesota. She was baptized, received her First Communion, and was confirmed at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Redwood Falls. Jeanette attended Morton High School. Jeanette selflessly helped care for her mother, siblings, and other family members. In 1972, she moved to Glencoe with her family where she did housekeeping for several people. In 1991, she moved back to Redwood Falls where she has resided since. In May of 2021 she became a resident of Garnette Gardens in Redwood Falls. Jeanette was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, and her Catholic faith was very important to her. She enjoyed gardening, mowing lawn, shoveling snow, and crocheting. She loved watching the Andy Griffith Show, attending mass, and visiting with people. She was always very appreciative of the things people did for her.
Jeanette is survived by her sister Barbara Goelz of Redwood Falls and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Celia Mead, Mary Braun, John Lawrence II, Deloris Goelz, Albert, Clem, and Francis Goelz, Audrey Richter, Loretta Woelfel, Lorraine Goelz, and Lois Goelz.
