The Minnesota Department of Transportation is inviting the public to attend an in-person construction open house to learn about two upcoming improvement projects on Hwy 15 and Hwy 15/60 near Madelia. Benefits of the projects include improved pavements and drainage, smoother road surfaces and increased safety along the corridor.

The open house will be held at the Madelia Golf Course Clubhouse on Thursday, April 7 from 5 to 7 p.m.. There is no formal presentation planned, and attendees are welcome to arrive anytime.

Approximately five miles of Hwy 15 from the north Hwy 15/60 interchange to the Watonwan/Brown County line near Madelia will be resurfaced. Construction is expected to begin in mid-July and be completed by November 2022.

MnDOT will also resurface seven miles of Hwy 15/60 from the Hwy 15/60 interchange south of Madelia to the Hwy 15/60 interchange north of Madelia. The eastbound lanes will be under construction beginning in mid-April, and construction is expected to be completed by November 2022.
