KLGR Community Cafe: Miller testifies about accident report law change

Have you ever been in an auto accident, and had to exchange information with the other driver, such as your insurance information, or your home address? It’s the law you have to do that, you know. How did that make you feel?

Now imagine being a woman with a restraining order against someone. Or someone, female or male, who’s being stalked? How would you feel about giving out personal information to a stranger then?

Earlier this week, Brittany Miller, of the WoMen’s Rural Advocacy Program of Lyon, Lincoln, Redwood, and Yellow Medicine Counties, testified in front of the state legislature to see about getting that law changed. KLGR’s Joshua Dixon talked to Miller on Thursday, about the issue, and just about what it’s like to testify in front of the House and Senate in the first place:
