Brooklyn Park motorcyclist injured in Renville County collision Tuesday

A Brooklyn Park motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injures in a Renville County collision Tuesday evening.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at about 6:08 p.m. on Aug. 24, David Gene Lewis, age 69, of Brooklyn Center was riding his Harley-Davidson eastbound on County Road 4. At the Intersection with Highway 71, Lewis collided with a 2003 GMC Savana driven by Toni Jo Starr Brothers, age 23, of Redwood Falls.

Brothers and her passenger, Joanne Kitto, age 66, of Redwood Falls, were not injured. Lewis was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Olivia ambulance and fire department, and North Memorial Aircare assisted at the scene.
