Summary of the April 6 Redwood County Board meeting

The following is a summary of the County Board meeting held April 6, 2021:

Approved the agenda; March 16^th minutes; bills.
Approved Road and Bridge bills.
Awarded bids for excess radios Motorola radios to the Wanda Fire Department, City of Franklin and the Redwood Falls Fire Department.
Approved final payment to Mathiowetz Construction for SAP 064-617-031 for culvert replacement on CSAH 17.
Approved final payment to Riley Brothers Construction for SP 064-610-031 for CSAH 10 Bridge replacement.
Approved final payment to Duininck, Inc. for SAP 064-606-035 for CSAH 6 overlay.
Approved final payment to Duininck, Inc. for SAP 064-601-015 and SAP 064-701-026 for CSAH 1 and CSAH 101 overlays.
Approved the Agreement for Professional Services with Braun Intertec.
Approved the Agreement for Professional Services with Stonebrooke Engineering.
Set a Road and Bridge Work session for April 13, 2021 at 9:00 a.m.
Wold notified the Board that Redwood County was recently awarded $8,344,591.00 in disaster assistance for various drainage systems for flooding events in 2019.
Wold notified the Board on the progress of the 2018 disaster progress with FEMA.
Approved the Plum Creek Park Farmland Lease Agreement with Dennis Hemish.
Approved an amendment to the Plum Creek Park Policy to not allow campers to store their RV’s in the park over the winter months.
Wold updated the Board on the special taxing district for a water retention project in Springdale 19.
A work session was set for 4-20-21 at 1:00 p.m. to provide a general overview of Zoning and Ditch.
The Board entered into Ditch Authority for a Public Hearing for a petition for an outlet on CD #12.
Approved the Petition for an outlet on CD #12 with recommendations set forth by the Ditch Viewers and directed Wold to prepare the Findings and Order.
Adjourned Ditch Authority and reconvened into regular session.
Approved an Out of State Travel request for Eric Johnson.
Approved the Development Agreement between the City of Redwood Falls and Redwood County.
Acknowledged Change Order #4 for Northwest Drywall in the amount of $440.00 for the Government Services Building Project.
Approved the University of MN Use Agreement, 4H.
Approved the 2021 Spring Newsletter.
Approved the 2021 Solid Waste abatements on Parcel #68-028-2020 and #62-008-3060.
Approved the Paycom Pre-Employment Screening Agreement pending County Attorney approval.
Approved the Nationwide Indexed Prinicipal Protection Plan pending County Attorney approval.
Approved to hire Isaiah Kubesh and Cortex Arrendondo as full-time Deputy Sheriffs on the 2021 LELS Licensed Officers Salary Schedule at Deputy 1, Grade/Step 2 at $23.41per hour due to experience effective April 7, 2021.
Approved to re-hire Kerstin Karels as part-time Dispatcher at Dispatcher Grade/Step 2 of the 2021 LELS Non-Licensed Salary Schedule at $19.44/hour effective April 7, 2021.
Entered into Closed Session for the purpose of a client-attorney privilege issue. No action taken.
