Ryan Charles Sietsema

Ryan Charles Sietsema, age 42, of Loretto, Mn, formerly of Danube, MN, died Wednesday, February 15, 2023, in Loretto.  Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2023, at the Assembly of God Church in Willmar.  The Rev. Ben Markwardt will officiate.  Burial will be in Holland Township Cemetery in Prinsburg, Minnesota.  Visitation will be Friday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church in Willmar.   Arrangements are with Dirks-Blem Funeral Service, Renville, MN.

Ryan Charles Sietsema was born on December 22, 1980, in Willmar, Minnesota to Charles and Twyla (Waterman) Sietsema.  He grew up in Danube and graduated from BDRSH High School in 1999.  He continued his education at Ridgewater College in Hutchinson.  He then worked multiple jobs in the area including Pizza Hut for nine years.  In 2014, Ryan began working at XLDent in Loretto and has worked there since.  While growing up, Ryan was involved in the Boy Scouts and earned the rank of Eagle Scout.  He enjoyed the outdoors, spending time fishing, camping and cooking outdoors, and hiking.  Most of all he loved spending time with his son Bryan, who was his pride and joy.

Ryan is survived by his son Bryan (and fiancée Casie DeKruif) of Bemidji, his parents Charles and Twyla Sietsema of Danube, his brothers: Eric of Danube, and Troy (and Mary) of Willmar; his nieces: Elizabeth, Annika, and Bridgette Sietsema; his special friend Patricia “Patty” Vasquez, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harvey and Geraldine Sietsema and Charles and Tena Waterman.
