Marlene Mary Schueller (Kostner)

Memorial service for Marlene Mary Schueller (Kostner) will take place on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home in Wabasso, MN beginning at 2:00p.m. A public visitation will take at the funeral home from 12:00p.m. – 2:00p.m. Burial will be at a later date at St. Anne’s Cemetery in Wabasso, MN. 

Marlene Mary Schueller (Kostner) was born on May 1, 1951 to William and Genevieve (Zins) Schueller. She was raised in Wabasso, and graduated from Wabasso High School in the spring of 1969. Upon graduation from high school she moved to Mankato where she completed cosmetology training. After working for a number of years as a beautician she then began her career at Brown Printing in Waseca, MN where she worked for forty years. 

Marlene loved to crochet and would often create winter hats and gloves to donate to the Bundle Me Warm program in Mankato. She was a gifted writer and had a short story published while in High School. Marlene had a green thumb and enjoyed caring for the flowers she would plant every year. She spent many years volunteering at the food shelf and veterans breakfast in Waseca. Marlene was an avid listener of Elvis. She had a special place in her heart for her family and her pet cats. 

Marlene died at home in Mankato on Saturday, February 25, 2023.
