Dolores Rothmeier, age 93, of Olivia died Friday, October 8, 2021 at RenVilla Nursing Home in Renville.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Olivia with Rev. Joe Steinbeisser as celebrant.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 9-11 a.m. at the church.  Arrangements by Dirks-Blem Funeral Service, Olivia, MN.

Dolores Kathryn Rothmeier was born May 18, 1928 at Elrosa, Minnesota to Herman and Cecilia (Reding) Koll.  She grew up and graduated from Morgan High School in 1946.  Dolores married Lawrence Rothmeier on January 17, 1950 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Morgan.  Dolores and Lawrence moved north of Olivia in 1958 and farmed until 1984.  She also worked at BOLD Schools as a cook for 13 years.  Dolores enjoyed fancy work like tying quilts, embroidered on many dish towels, volunteering at St. Aloysius, Olivia Healthcare Center, and Fairview Place in Olivia.  She was a member of St. Aloysius CCW, Senior Citizens of Olivia, and a faithful member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church.  Dolores will be remembered for being a very hard worker and a great mother, grandmother and friend to many.

Dolores is survived by her seven children: George (and Bev) Rothmeier, Gary (and Jackie) Rothmeier, Robert Rothmeier, Kevin (and Shannon) Rothmeier, Charles Rothmeier, Mary Jo (and Todd) Dillon and Daniel (and Carol) Rothmeier; her 17 grandchildren; her 18 great-grandchildren and her siblings: Leroy Koll and Mary Lou Mathiowetz.  Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lawrence; her son Larry; her grandson Paul; her daughters-in-law: Sherry and Terri and her 8 siblings: Leo Koll, Roman Koll, Jerome Koll, Dorothy Kalkhoff, Florence Weber, Ray Koll, Edmund Koll and Loretta Heiderscheidt.
