Darlene Utz age 65, of Springfield, MN died on April 29, 2021, at the Sleepy Eye Medical Center.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 3, 2021, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield and will continue on Tuesday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at the St. Raphael Catholic Church in Springfield, MN.

Service will be held at the St. Raphael Catholic Church on Tuesday at 10:30 am.

The clergy will be Father Garrett Ahlers. Interment will be at the St. Raphael Catholic Cemetery in Springfield, MN.

Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield, MN. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com.

Darlene Ann Utz was born in Springfield, MN on Oct. 6, 1955 to Leo George and Gladys Frieda (Roiger) Haas. She graduated from Sanborn High School in 1972. Darlene married the love of her life on December 22, 2000 in Las Vegas, NV. She loved to cook and bake for all her grandchildren and loved spending time gardening with Ken.

She is survived by her husband Ken of Springfield; daughter Jennifer Hornick (Richard) and son Steve Hornick (Mykhaila); grandchildren – Sheldon, Roth, Colton Roth, Kaden Roth, Jaden Hornick, Jaxon Hornick, Tyson Hornick, McKenna Richter and Connor Richter. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother – David.
