St. Peter man injured after vehicle leaves road in Renville County

A St. Peter man was injured when his vehicle left the road near Franklin Monday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at about 1:14 p.m. on Feb. 28, Wayne Paul Lynn, age 71, of St. Peter, was driving a GMC Terrain westbound on Highway 19. Near the intersection with County Road 73, Lynn’s vehicle left the road and entered the eastbound ditch, continuing through a parking lot and striking a gate.

Lynn was transported to the Franklin medical center for non-life threatening injuries. Assisting at the scene were the Renville Sheriff’s Department and Carris Health – Redwood.
